Gamifying Adolescent Wellness

Sqord’s wrist-based activity tracking system is designed to motivate pre-adolescents to increase their activity levels through gaming techniques. The technology promotes physical activity by helping users track and gamify their exercise. Research shows that activity levels decline from 27% of 6th graders achieving the recommended levels of physical activity to less than 20% by 12th grade.
